And we are at 9! Please help me welcome the newest retail partner to the G Willie BBQ Pit Crew:
…drum roll please…
Dutch’s Bar/Bottle Shop/Larder of Hyde Park!
This one is close to home: literally! I grew up down the street from these guys in East Hyde Park. My father picked up tailgate supplies on the way to the Bengals’ games here every home game. Not the same owners, but still building on strong community spirit. Now, they offer a great deal more than they did back in my day. Dutch’s has great gourmet offerings, the finest deli I have seen in many years and a line of great products that will thrill any food enthusiasts out there. Co-owner Jim Cornwell has helped assemble a great team and they are COOKIN’ IT!!! Stop in and see them at 3378 Erie Avenue in East Hyde Park. Check out the ribs in the larder; you might be getting some with the G Willie on ‘em!

We also have another new member of the G Willie BBQ Pit Crew: Newtown Farm Market! Bob Palmisano, an old school produce veteran, has won several awards for his great selection of produce, his AMAZING Summer sweet corn, and the best frozen custard stand in Cincinnati. If you haven’t been to a good produce market lately, check out Bob and his great team of specialists down in Newtown. We look forward to great things from Bob and the Newtown Farm Market!

We are getting ready to make our newest flavor available very soon. Island Time, the first seafood BBQ Sauce, is a great blend of coconut, mango, and guava, with a peppery flair that has already been well received by taste testers. Salmon, scallops, shrimp… the new sauce doesn’t overpower, it complements the wonderful flavor of seafood. Forget Daylight Savings, set your watches to ISLAND TIME!

Look at how creative my customers are! Super Bowl Sunday, my good friend at the ACO, Kortney Borowitz, used pulled chicken, Hole Lotta Hotta, and stuffed it in cornbread for a game winning Super Bowl treat! Thanks Kortney! Are you in the game? Send me recipes for the web site. There could be some sauce in it for you! Email a great recipe to share to: gwilliebbq@fuse.net. EAT BBQ!!!
